Typemac collects almost nothing. Your keystrokes never leave your device. Your purchase email goes to Dodo Payments (our payment processor). That's it.
Typemac requests Input Monitoring permission from macOS. This allows the app to detect keyboard events system-wide. The app uses this only to trigger audio playback — it does not record, transmit, or store any keystroke data. This is consistent with how similar Mac utilities (keyboard macros, typing speed trackers, etc.) operate.
On launch, Typemac makes a single HTTPS request to the Dodo Payments API to validate your license key. The request includes your license key only. No personally identifiable information is sent beyond what Dodo already holds from your purchase.
Dodo Payments processes your purchase. See their privacy policy for details on how they handle payment data.
To delete your data, email hello@typemac.app. We'll remove your email and license record from our systems within 30 days.
